Not seen one of those on the streets for quite a few years now.

A neighbour on the cul-de-sac I grew up on had one (I think it was white or silver), good looking car for it's time and not a bad looking car now.

I suspect this still exists by way of being a manual - IIRC the automatics had a high failure rate.  Massively overpriced, buy good luck finding another.  Too bad it isn’t a turbo.

Amazing that this exists. I picked up and browsed in a novel not long ago that began with a tragedy i n, IIRC Greece, where a family is driving and somehow goes off the road in a Fuego. I didn’t read the book, but I think the dad’s decisions that led them to be in said Fuego may have been part of the reason they ended up having the accident (certainly being in a Fuego didn’t help). So per the Craigslist description, if that book became popular and was made into a movie, this would probably finally fulfill its destiny and be on the big screen, after all, how many others can there be left in the world —though hopefully as the “hero” car, and not the one launched down the hillside.
